My journey into public service began with a simple conviction: that everyone, regardless of their background, has the potential to lead and serve their community. Over the years, this belief has driven me to write over 14 books, mentor aspiring leaders, and advocate for greater diversity in governance roles across the UK.
Through my "Guide to Public Roles" and "Know the Rules" book series, I provide practical, accessible guidance for anyone looking to step into roles such as School Governor, Charity Trustee, Magistrate, or Board Member. My work demystifies these often-intimidating positions and shows that civic engagement is within everyone's reach.
As a speaker, I regularly address audiences on topics including leadership, governance, civic engagement, and the importance of community service. I believe in leading by example and use every platform to inspire action.
